Worst Bible argument ever?

ZJ: I've encountered several people who have told me something along the lines of, "The Bible says people are going to say it's wrong, so if you criticize the Bible, you're just proving it right!" What, so if everyone agreed with the Bible, would that mean the Bible is wrong? I am just astonished that anyone could make an argument like that without immediately dying of embarrassment. This has to be the most lazy and transparently obvious tactic for convincing idiots that you know what you're talking about.

If I were having a discussion with someone regarding atheism, and they brought up something about Richard Dawkins, and I told them, "Richard Dawkins said people would say he's wrong, so you're just proving him right!", they'd think I was a goddamn moron—and rightfully so!

Really, what kind of prediction is that, anyway? Someone's going to disagree with you? Wow, that's never happened before. Do you think if I predicted the sun will rise tomorrow, these people would believe I'm the next Nostradamus? Just how abysmally low are their standards? If the Qur'an said the same thing, would they believe that, too? Oh wait, it does!

This is nothing more than the theological equivalent of "I know you are, but what am I?" It's really quite disappointing that anyone would rely on such an obviously worthless argument; even worse, that they would assume everyone else is stupid enough to find this persuasive. And if you think I'm wrong, that just means I'm right.
