Husband + Wife = Marriage

There will be just as much confusion if you tell people you're married but don't have a husband.
Or will you flip a coin? Marriage defines a relationship between a man and a woman. Civil Union means 2 people of the same sex. Do you have the right to be called a son to your parents? Or chose to be a brother, not a sister. Or be called "uncle" rather than "aunt." Demanding that the English-speaking population redefine certain words to satisfy the narcissistic self image is a bit unrealistic. Describe yourself however you please, but you can't arbitrarily change language comprehension to not hurt your feelings.
